The new Palm Treo 500 runs on Windows Mobile 6 - Vodafone has just announced its presents in the smartphone offer list
Vodafone has it - the new palm Treo 500v (v for Vodafone). The smartphone is Windows Mobile 6 based and does not have anything new build in. Check out the images of the new Palm Treo 500v (black and white edition) :

Here is the black edition of the new Palm Treo 500v :

You will find the usual 2.00 mpx camera - i bet they have pre-ordered older parts like the cammera and want to clean the "basement", older GSM network based device are having better cameras than this one.
The smart phone is so lame to be with this keyboard - come people, you have not ordered the touch screens or they are kind a expensive. I have no idea where Palm is having their user recomendations - most probably the marketing team at Palm has been on vacation for the last 6 mounths.
The only good news is the UMTS / 3G network support along with the 150 MBs of RAM usable from its 256 MBs available.
Bluetoght 2.0 and micro-SD is a standard procedure lately, looking from a distant point the new Palm Treo 500v is not new at all. If you take all the parts from your old smartphone device, put it in a box and linked them you will have the same device as Palm Treo 500 - the latest "flagman" from Vodafone.
Personally I do not like it, it looks like a brick to me - i did not saw a second camera made for the 3G options and video calling. I do not even want to spend money on it to test it - even with the 30 days money back guarantee.
Palm should try harder in order to place its new Treo 500v in my pocket.
